Course Overview
Practice safe and effective movements to increase and maintain shoulder mobility and increasing your range of movement.
Description
The practice starts with three basic movements to warm up your shoulder area and let you experience the range of motion you are currently capable of. The practice concludes with two opening sequences to open your shoulder area and deepen your range of movement. I would recommend that you practice the series daily for two weeks and then practice the series 3-5 times a week thereafter. There will be advanced Shoulder Mobility practices added for you to access as you gain mobility and confidence.
Helpful Notes
Two yoga blocks would be you best option for props. A pair of foam blocks (inexpensive) will do just fine. You could also roll up two towels real tight and use them. You might want to have a towel or pad for your knees and one for your ankles. Bath towels are very handy and flexible. A yoga mat would be your best option but you could use anything which provides you with padding between you and the floor. Please keep in mind that this is not strength training. Once you are confident and fluid in the Shoulder Mobility Series there is a Shoulder Mobility Practice audio file you can use for your individual practice.
